Hot as Puck is sweet, romantic and HOT as HELL! Justin and Libby have been friends since high school. She was the school geek and well he was the hot jock. They became really good friends when Libby taught Justin how to crochet when he fell ill and needed something to pass his time. Years later... they are still the best of friends. Justin is now a successful NHL player and has his pick of woman. Relationships... he's had them, but when things get too serious he is ready to move on. Libby is a lonely, unexperienced kindergarten teacher. Her last serious relationship ended up dumping her and becoming a priest. So her self esteem and sexual inner goddess, non existent. Libby is tired of being the babbling fool who stumbles on her words when trying to talk to man she likes. She wants someone with experience to teach her how to be and feel sexy, to channel her inner goddess. Who better than Justin, the man she trusts with her heart and soul.

I felt connected to them from the very start. It was refreshing to see both Libby and Justin's vulnerabilities and how they each complemented and completed the other. Like two broken hearts mending one another to make one. Well written Lili Valente, you keep awing me every time. I can't wait for Brendan and Laura's story in Sexy Motherpucker.

I really enjoyed this fast burn story.
Libby is a super sweet, shy, smart kindergarten teacher. She loves making lessons plans and crocheting. She has super hot hockey playing friend she taught crocheting years ago.
Justin isn't afraid to show off his crocheting creations while posing with just his creations and very little else on. His scores on and off the ice. He's confident, charming, loyal. A great friend. So great that Libby asks him to tudor her on how to flirt and have a relationship.
Justin tries to help verbally but that doesn't seem to work on this anxiety, panic induing self doubting teacher. So Justin has to change up his lesson plan. But will he succeed in helping his friend get the guy she likes??

This was a quick super cute and steamy read. I freaking love Justin and Libby. They are adorable. 🥰

It is such a well written love story, it gave me all the feels it was just perfection.

Hockey romance ratio is about 20/80 maybe.
But a really good read!

I picked this one up for free on Amazon because I loved the premise of a shy, wholesome, kindergarten teacher asking her womanizing, hockey-player, best friend for dating advise. It is one of my favourite tropes, probably because it reminds me of the very first romance novel I ever read when I was a teenager and sneaking them behind my mother's back ;)

My expectations weren't that high because it was a free read and because I am not the biggest sports fan, but this story was excellent and exceeded my expectations, there was almost nothing that I didn't like about it. I have to admit it took me a couple pages to get into the story since I was nervous about just how womanizing Justin was but things got on track pretty quickly. I'm going to be a little picky and state that I would have preferred Justin to have been not quite so recently single because it does muddy the waters a bit, but it didn't diminish my enjoyment of the story. I also didn't love how often it was mentioned that Libby's only real serious boyfriend became a priest after they dated. I'm being fussy because everything else was just perfect for me.

I loved Libby, priest ex-boyfriend aside, I found her to be very relatable, kind, generous, crafty, bookish, all the best traits really. Justin grew on me quickly, he was very down to earth, crafty and charitable. I quickly became invested in seeing them come together and realize how well they fit together. Something else the author did really well was bring the secondary cast of characters to life as well. It's a fine line between them overshadowing vs. supporting.

I think my favourite things that the author did was not make Justin's ex or Libby's other potential love interest into villains. I LOVED that they were cool people in their own right but just not the right fit for our hero and heroine. It's an unrealistic commonplace problem that I have with romance novels, the other man or woman holds some unredeemable flaw that is uncovered, they cheat, or lie, or skin puppies, instead of people good people that just aren't the right match for our main characters.

I'm really bummed that the rest of the series is not on Kindle Unlimited, but I will probably buy them because the author is a spectacular writer, excellent story-teller and I want to know more about the cast of characters I was just introduced to.

I love a book that is funny as well as hot as hell; they are few and far between so I really enjoyed this page turner from Lili Valente from page one. Who wouldn't want to learn the carnal ways of the world from a sexy as fornication ice hockey player who knows exactly what to do and you trust your life with due to a shared history. Good then I'll continue!

This book is really well written, Lili Valente captures every possible emotion that could course through each of the character's body as they travel this torturous journey together; be they good or bad. As the super cute pairing discover together and separately learning new things are not what they expect either as the teacher or the student and this is brought across to the reader really well. The history of both characters is portrayed well along with the supporting cast who play their parts really well trying to throw spanners into the training regime of the pair.

I loved the pace of the book, it moved along really well with the two main characters growing together throughout the story moving to the inevitable HEA.

I loved this book and totally recommend it xx
