Father Kindle Edition

4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 841 ratings

From New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author Clarissa Wild comes a new off-the-charts novel that will make you feel filthier than ever...

Confess your sin.

People call me Father, but I prefer Frank because I’m the worst preacher you’ll ever meet.
Days spent completely wasted pull a number on you, especially when you’ve got a truckload of baggage that comes with it.
Until this beautiful girl in the back of the church takes my breath away.
…And we end up committing sacrilege in the confessional.
Did I mention I’m filthy?
Bad doesn’t even begin to describe me, and after one taste of what she’s got to offer, I want more.
Too bad having a dirty mind isn’t the only thing we’ve got in common…
Our past is laced with sin.

Author’s Note: This book is not for everyone. It’s raw. It’s vulgar. It’s downright offensive. But it’s oh so delicious with a capital D. If you are easily offended, please don’t read this book. But if you like a bit of humor mixed in with raunchiness and brawling, you’ll love this book. Contains disturbing situations, strong language, and graphic violence.

FATHER is a full-length 72000 word standalone suspenseful romance novel. NO cliffhanger.

I enjoyed this book about Father Frank. He's a reformed ex-drug dealer and now an alcoholic preacher due to what happened to his family. He has Margaret (Mother), who took him in and cared for him and still does when he falls. Some of the confessional routines are hilarious. or steamy, depending on the situation. My fave one-liner was when he shocked a lady by telling her he sent the troops out that morning. Frank is lucky to have Mother there to pick him up and ensure he gets out preaching on a Sunday. Until that day, Laura and her brother Diego are in the congregation, and he falls in love with her from afar. He manages to reform somewhat, and that's when the twists and turns you don't see coming start. Clarissa keeps you turning the pages to see what happens next and if Frank will ever get his HEA.
You will love this book if you love a steamy romance with a wayward Preacher who falls for a girl left to look after her two brothers.

Frank is a drunk and a preacher. He left a life of crime to start all over, only to have everything ripped away from him. He spots Laura in his church during a sermon he’s performing. He can’t get her out of his mind and when she asks him to take her confession - things get down right dirty! A good storyline with pieces of the puzzle being given throughout and tying together nicely. There is also an extended epilogue for Frank and Laura which is quite sweet!

A good dirty read for a Sunday!

This was not quite what I expected. It’s not my favourite scene and it seemed quite immature. I get it, he’s a dirty preacher but he says it multiple times throughout the whole book. I think it had so much potential though, there was parts were I was laughing hard. There was a lot more going on in the plot than I expected, preacher, religion, grief, alcohol and drug abuse, unaliving people, sprinkled with some obsession and smut. I didn’t see the plot twist coming with Bruno. The ending was cute though.

Forgive them Father for they have sinned.

Frank, a preacher.
Laura, a beautiful woman.
One moment in the confessional.
A dirty act committed.
They couldn’t help it.
They both needed it.
The desire too strong.
They needed that one moment like they both needed air.

But what they don’t realise is that their paths are going to cross in the most dark and dangerous way.
What they don’t know is they have a connection, a past they already both share.
A past shrouded in blood, evil, darkness and death.
A past that will come back to haunt them both.
A past that will become their reality.
Secrets will be revealed.
Evil will surface.
Death will come.
Blood will be shed.
Revenge will be taken.
But at what cost?

Welcome to Frank and Laura’s world.

I am literally lost for words….Literally.
I have absolutely no clue what to say.
I am speechless.
I absolutely loved it.

Dark and seriously twisted.
Sinfully delicious.
Naughty and humorous.
Filthy and dirty.
Wrong, just wrong.
But god what an absolute brilliant read.
I couldn’t put it down.
I loved every single page turned.
I couldn’t get enough.
I just wanted more and more.
Yes greedy…..Isn’t that a sin?
Maybe so, but Clarissa Wild absolutely nailed this novel to the point that it completely consumed me.
I just couldn’t get enough.
Now granted it may not be for everyone, because after all this is a novel about a preacher who for lack of a better word is just plain sinful, but I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.

Go on, I know you want to.
Read it guys, you will not be disappointed, even if it is a sin.

Father is the first book that I have read from Clarissa Wild and it certainly will not be the last. Father is different from other books in terms of its originality. The story is gripping, enthralling and so consuming that you establish a deep and gripping connection with the characters almost from the beginning. It was a pleasure for me to be able to witness such creative writing, such mastery with words through this book. The story is so well written and the characters so well developed that you are engrossed in this book from the beginning and you can't put it down until you're done reading. A beautiful and powerful story about the powers of love and forgivenesss. One of the important lessons is that love doesn't have to be right, it just have to be right.

Frank is a troubled man who is slowly losing the unshakeable faith he once had. His past is coming back to hunt him and he can't run away from it. To deal with the nightmares that serve as a constant reminder of his past that can't seem to go away; Frank hides behind his alcoholism, sarcasm anything to get away from the pain but nothing works. Until one Sunday, he sees Laura at Church and can't get her out of his mind. Looking into Laura's eyes, Franck looks into eyes that for the first time, in a while, soothe his soul, guiding him on the path of healing. Laura stirs feelings from Frank that he thought were long forgotten, never to return. However, just like Frank, her past isn't undamaged and without heartache. Is Laura an angel sent by God to help Frank see the light again?

Laura is willing to give him what he needs because it's what she needs also. Though everything seems to be leading him one way soon takes him to a new unexpected path that neither of them could have imagined. This is not your typical story of faith, love, and redemption but a dark erotic and romantic thriller that is engaging, heartbreaking and oh so heartwarming.

Pick up your copy to find out. Their chemistry will have you on fire, melting away😈😈. A must read!!

I voluntarily submitted an ARC review for this book!

Although this is not a story for those looking for a sweet romance, or who could be easily offended by some of the content, the author had me hooked from page 1.

Frank is the perfect dark and dangerous anti-hero: a damaged soul waiting to be brought back into the light. Feisty, beautiful Laura is just the woman to save him, but she has her own dark past to contend with.

Well worth reading if you enjoy a dark, erotic story with a dangerous mystery at its heart.

I shall certainly buy more books from this author, who is new to me.

This is the first read of Clarissa Wild's book i have read.

Omg!! Preacher Frank.
Would I like him to deliver a sermon on Sunday.
Hell no!!!

Would I like his kind of filthy, dirty mouth.
Uh, HELL, YEAH! 🥵🖤🔥😈

Preach Frank is not your ordinary Preacher
He cusses and drinks, and his sermons are something left to be desired.
Until one fated day, he sees her in Church.
Can't take his eyes off of her.

She's got something to confess, and Frank is only happy to oblige.

Two worlds apart soon become a world that collides together.

LET THE SECRETS BE REVEALED!

WOW!! this book and its banter. The $exual tension when Frank and Laura are together. 🥵🔥🔥Holy Moly 🌶 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Prepare your lady bits. This book is one hell of a ride.

Oh, by the way. This book is fictional. Not real.

So for people who like to nit pik .
DON'T read this book.

For people like me. Dive in girlies
You are gonna love this

Wow, this is a unique story about a preacher who's kind of lost his way, after losing his wife and son. He is not the best preacher, he drinks, smokes, curses and fights. When he meets Laura, a new parishioner, he starts feeling again. She proves to be a great temptation. Their pasts are intertwined in very serious ways. This book takes God, the church and sacredness and twists it around. I think one must look at it as a work of fiction and not take things personally to enjoy it.
