Sugar (Wrecked) Kindle Edition
Country’s hottest bad boy.
That’s what they call me. My label ate it up until I became “too bad” for the good folks of country music. That’s when Hard Candy Records picked me up and took a chance on me. Probably not their smartest move, but I won’t tell them that. Especially when they’ve assigned me a babysitter to try and keep my ass out of trouble. One smart-mouthed, unimpressed, sexy as homegrown sin, Addy Mae Masterson.
She likes to pretend that she doesn’t like me and I like to let her.
I may have a past that haunts me and she may have a habit of getting attached, but damn if I don’t want to show her just how good this bad boy can be.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling author, Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, even her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.
A wife and mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met.
She is currently working on trying to keep up with whatever voices are clamoring for attention in her mind.

☆☆Excerpt☆☆
“I’m pretty sure you can control yourself until you get me back to my place.”“Your place? No, ma’am, that would take a saint. You should know by now, I’m no saint, Sugar. I’m a sinner. The best kind though.”“Then you better take me to church, Beau.”
Added Bonus you get a look into Stone's life in Stoned.
The storyline was sweet and for the most part smooth flowing. I did find there were a few plot holes, or jumps that jarred that flow, but for the most part they were minor. The Jenny sub-plot was the bigger of those, and was obviously meant to be slowly revealed, but I found it jarred at times. Also, Addy went from being professional and her first POV indicated she knew a little about Beau, but then further down the track her POV stated that she'd had a crush on him since he first came on the scene, and was then gushing about how she wanted to see him naked, which seemed to be a complete 180 from the girl we first met.
I didn't like the Tara parts either - I felt like they were only there to create angst between Beau and Addy rather than provide any other substance.
Aside from those, I did enjoy their blossoming romance - especially how Beau realised that Addy brought out the best in him, and made him want to be a better version of himself.
I am interested in reading Stone's book, as I came by this one following the 'Expose' books (so had read Lucky Number Eleven before this one), and I wouldn't rule out reading more books by this author in the future either.
I absolutely LOVED this book! Being an Aussie country music/cowboys aren't big here so its not something I usually choose to read... but if Mandi writes I read! Its that simple and I loved it! Absolutely loved it, it is everything you want in a story, you will laugh, cry, swoon, and boy oh boy will you swoon!
Is it to soon to do a re-read?? I miss Beau and Addy already!
I was engaged in the story and eager to read the next chapter everytime I finished one. With just enough angst to give drama and depth, without making it a heavy read, I found Sugar entertaining and fun.

Sugar is a standalone story by Mandi Beck.
(However, it is set in the "world" from Stoned and because of this, reading Sugar before Stoned may give minor spoilers as Mandi gives us cameos by some of our favorite Stoned characters.)
Beau McCrae is the ultimate country boy, but Country Music's bad boy is haunted by his past & has become little "too bad" for his own good. This causes his label to drop him. Thankfully his manager is had an in with Addie Mae Masterson at Hard Candy Records. Addy Mae knows a star when she hears one & is smart enough to sign Beau. But as his new boss, will she be able to resist Beau or will she finally give in to his charms? I can't tell you more without giving you spoilers, but what follows is a hot ride with twists & turns, lots of laughs, and some hot as hell love scenes!
I could not put this book down! As always Mandi gives us characters that you just can't get enough of & can't help but love & secondary characters **Sealy...sigh** that leave you wanting more!
For a fun, hot, sexy, (did I mention HOT?) easy read you should definitely check it out! Beau & Addy Mae will definitely "Watermelon Crawl" their way into your heart.

I loved Sam Hunt before reading this book. Now all I can think about is that Sam is Beau ♡
This book... set my damn emotions on a rollercoaster.
Beau... At first I didnt know what to think about him, he then got me laughing, then saying 'Holy Moly' from the hotness, swooning, wanting to slap him, swooning some more and then my damn eyes filling with happy tears.
All in all I love this hot, funny, sexy, dirty mouthed singer.
I now wont beable to look at a juicy watermelon the same way again haha.
Addy I just loved her and her take no rubbish attitude. She really was like a Bulldog haha.
It was fab having Stone, Willow and the gang in this book. I've missed them lots.
Once I started reading I just couldnt stop. Beau was just so addictive I just needed to read more and more.
Mandi this book is truly amazing ♡

That all changes when Addy enters his life. I like her no non-sense take on life as well as her honesty. She tells him she will get attached, and she does. What is surprising is that he does as well.
A good book about finding the good in others and in yourself. Being able to let go of the past and build a future. I enjoyed this book!

Beau has those ingrained southern manners, but sometimes he may forget to use them. He's earned the title of bad boy, and he basks in all its glory. But what his confidence and bad boy persona overshadow is his desire to be wanted for more than his fame. Maybe to the point that he doesn't understand that desire himself.
Addy Mae is a bada**. She holds down the fort at Hard Candy Records, and her confidence in her ability to do her job is admirable. When her job moves her from assisting all clients to essentially babysitting Beau McCrae, Country music's biggest bad boy, all bets are off. Her insistence to keep everything professional helps build a bit of angst, but the tension between the two is undeniable.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel at first. I was having a difficult time relating to Beau because his attitude was a major turn off in the beginning. But Mandi Beck is a genius with world building and character development. Once I was sucked in, a point I didn't expect to get to, I was ALL IN - no exceptions. I absolutely adored Sugar, Addy Mae, and Beau's swoony self.
4.5 - will absolutely read this again - stars
