Whiskey Burning (Iron Fury MC Book 1) Kindle Edition
In the darkness is where I first met him.
Alone at a water fountain, tears rolling down my cheeks.
Ready to give up.
From the shadows, his voice came to me.
Soothing. Comforting. Rough as the blackest night.
I didn’t see him.
I didn’t even know his name.
All I knew was he saved me that night.
He put my back on my feet.
And he kept me on them.
Every single time I needed him, he found a way to come to me.
My stranger of the night.
My dark warrior.
My name is Scarlett. You probably know me.
I’m America’s number one country music star.
I’m also the loneliest girl you’ll ever meet.
He’s as free as a bird. A nomad. Travelling alone.
Nobody to hold him back.
He holds the freedom I pray for every single day.
He shows me that life can be so much more than what I’m living.
When danger comes knocking, he’ll also show me a different world.
A world I never knew existed.
A world that both terrifies and fascinates me.
A world that goes against everything I’ve ever known.
A world of Iron Fury.

Bella Jewel has written some fabulous books that I've enjoyed and some that I really haven't. This is her back to her best and is worth buying.
We start with Scarlett who's a very famous country star, she meets Maverick when she's alone and pondering on her life. I'm not going to post any spoilers but I really enjoyed the storyline. The plot, sub-plot a is woven together extremely well, the supporting characters give out enough interest for you to see the potential for future books.
Of course there is danger, add in a hot biker, his club and romance and - voila - the story.
Fabulous, can't wait for the next.
Scarlett Belle is a superstar country/pop singer who is 23 as this book starts, and is miserable. She’s on the ‘hamster wheel’ of life, and her passion for creating music is getting burned out of her. She longs for the freedom to just be, and she is crying near a fountain when she meets Maverick, who happens to be enjoying the quiet near the same fountain. As strangers in the dark sometimes do, she lets her guard down and spills some of her reality to him, and he offers her a little bit of hope in return. He’s nursing a heartache from the loss of his lady about a year earlier. He’s been a nomad on the road with his bike ever since, as he tries to make peace with his loss. Scarlett is the first person who interests him in that year. He ends up following her to a few of her concert venues, and watching over her, after learning of her past with a dangerous man.
Mav can be wonderfully kind, and then turn around and be a jerk at times. He is ruled by his little head sometimes and by his temper at other times. He makes a couple of snap judgements that cause him grief, but he’s a work in progress and obviously very flawed. Scarlett just wants some freedom, and she wants someone to listen and understand her. She thinks she has found that person in Mav, but he messes it up royally a couple of times! This makes for an interesting story with loads of tension and some angst as well. These two protagonists are connected by something else that they discover along the way as well. Fair warning: while this story isn’t exactly a cliffhanger, it does end with multiple threads unfinished. The story continues in the next volume of this series. I will be reading it, but I have other books to finish first.
