The imPERFECT Guy Kindle Edition
Just like Finn.
He was exactly what I needed in an assistant, and the exact opposite of everything I looked for in a guy, which made hiring him an easy decision.
It was perfect.
Then it wasn’t.
One by one, I started to fall for all of Finn’s imperfections, leaving me to question...
Was I simply looking for all the wrong things in a man? Or was Finn perfect because he was imperfect?

About the author

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped. She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
She is now a mother of three girls. The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. And to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.

Maddy is a social media influencer and her business is getting bigger and bigger; when she finds the perfect assistant on paper she is taken back when she meets face to face. Finn has been running his own successful business but needs a challenge, when he submitted his resume, he never expected to get a sit down or to be offered the job. When their attraction gets to boiling point, they cross the line from professional to personal.
I personally enjoyed this story, Harper touched on some sensitive topics; it makes you stop and realise that men like woman have their own body image issues and that behind every picture posted online there could be someone struggling.

The imPerfect Guy is the story of Mady, a social media influencer and Finn, who Mady hires as her assistant. Mady’s business is growing and as such needs further help in running it, cue in Finn! Mady at first thinks Finn is female, and is somewhat surprised upon their first meeting to meet him! Finn is deep down a bit insecure and doesn’t trust that he could be what Mady wants in her life, more than friends and boss/employee. Meanwhile Mady, although beautiful and a savvy social media influencer has her own insecurities to deal with. And it was this that I connected with mostly in this story, as insecurities in life is a very real part of many people’s lives, with Ms Harper addressing this in a well-written and thought provoking way.
The imPerfect Guy was a fun read for me, it was witty and at times emotional, and it made me want to keep on turning the pages! I enjoyed Mady’s friends as secondary characters, they provided laughter and light to the story and the addition of Finn’s friends Kyle and Marissa rounded out the storyline perfectly. The imPerfect Guy is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone, as I have done. I will be reading more of Leddy Harper’s books from now though!
A 4.5 star read from me.
I received a copy of this book, read it voluntarily, with all opinions my own.
For Mady, meeting the perfect guy seems impossible, unlikely and improbable... She needs to be waiting for the imPERFECT guy to come along. And that happens in the most unexpected way. When Mady hires Finn to be her assistant everything changes for her. It’s not smooth sailing and every love story has its imperfections, but they’re both the one perfectly imperfect person meant for each other.

But Finn comes with his own list of complications and they are as real as the zit on your nose. I think I fell for Mady as Finn because I myself felt like Finn. He's easy to love, easy to identify with, and easy to point out his flaws because we feel them too! But do not get that crazy glint in your eyes because Mady isn't the pedestal princess everyone chalks her up to being. No diva here even if she occasionally makes you question my statement.
This book isn't about perfection. It's about loving yourself enough to let others live you. Own you flaws, own you! It's a beautiful story and its uplifting. But it's also funny as hell because Mady is ...well, Mady! No other way to describe her. She just is herself.
You may look for the perfect guy but I will always fall for The imPERFECT Guy.
