Hmmm not sure how to review this one. I signed up for this one as it was a Celia Aaron book and I didn't have much detail about it at the time.

I really liked the premise of the story, the bad buy and the good girl. I enjoyed the writing and how the story played out.

Sebastian and Camille's story isn't an easy one. I mean, a story with a kidnapping can never be an easy one, right?

However, and this might just be me, but I felt that our unlucky lady Camille just, I don't know, gave up? Where was her fight or flight instinct? Where was the kicking and screaming and fighting?

Sebastian, whilst yes he is not the knight in shining armour we get in our romances, he is not the dark I was expecting.

Sure, there were dark aspects, but at times Sebastian was quite a teddy bear. Maybe it is that I have read other dark romance that are dark AF, that is why this didn't come across as dark for me? Some of the darker aspects felt like they were a little glossed over for me also.

Now don't get me wrong, the story is a good story, but it had more of a contemporary romance feel to it than dark romance - again, this could just be me because of the other dark romance I have read in the past - to others, this could be really dark. To me it is more shade of grey than dark.

I liked the arc of the story, and though I had trouble connecting with Camille for the first half of the book, I did in the later half. The writing was good, however this just wasn't one meant for me.

This book had everything, it was a slow burn at first but as soon Camille was in the limo- what a story!!

Some parts like the botany talk & the story lines of Mint & Link I had to skim over, as I wanted to get the best parts!!

Need more stories like this!! I especially enjoyed how Sebastian & Camille made deals with each other ;)

I was a little slow to love Sebastian, but boy did he change my mind! Is it wrong to want your own psycho? I got Camille in a way no other character has made me feel before. I am her.
She knows what she should want. What she actually wants, she knows is not that.
The writing had me on fire.

Really enjoyed this book, not as dark as some of Celia's other books but still kept me enthralled. Sebastian is the all time book boyfriend, bad boy, rich, hot and does not conform to social niceties. Camille was a little irritating but overall great read and as always wait impatiently for the next book from Celia!

I enjoyed this dark read and loved the psycho alpha male. I'm usually not a fan of the bad boy gone good scenarios but this one was done well.

The writing was good. The characters were well written and the storyline was believable. I was fully engaged in the story and enjoyed it throughout. It had its hea. However ended up with the hero completely under the heroines thumb... still all in all worth the read.

Well what can I say? This book ticked all of the boxes for me, I couldn’t put it down!

Sebastian is the delicious bad guy and he sets his sights on camilla and it’s game on. He decides to kidnap her (yep that’s the logical thing to do in his mind) and the fun ensues from there.

The character progression, dialogue and spice were so good! I was with the characters every step of the way dying to see what would happen next.

This is a dark romance so make sure you check your triggers.
