The Trouble With Gravity (Gravity Series) Kindle Edition
That was the trouble with gravity. It couldn't be stopped. It couldn't be ignored. I was completely at its mercy.
Kai's life is a series of choreographed steps, each one shielding her from her tragic past. Audition, dance, get paid, repeat. It's a broken record, but it's what keeps her world spinning.
When a dangerously handsome man with trouble written all over his face rides into her life, his entrance makes a disastrous splash.
Soon, Kai's safe and secure world is on the brink of shattering, and there's only one man to blame. Unfortunately, he's also the same man who is offering her the role of a lifetime.
He says she can trust him to keep her safe, but is her heart safe too?

I enjoyed this story it took off a little slow for me. I love a good slow burn romance but it kinda took its time. Bash took a bit of time to like but came through in the end. Kai was very likeable and I enjoyed reading her.
They had great banter and they made a very charming couple it just took me a little longer to get into the story than I thought it would. But still enjoyable.
What a terrible start to life Kai had, she had a beautiful relationship with her father and it was taken away from her in the blink of an eye. She lost everything including her love of the ocean.
She swapped her love of the ocean for dance and what a dancer she became. That girl put every ounce of her being in to her dancing and she caught the eye of the hot as sin Sebastian in the process.
She aced her audition and won the leading role to a show that could change her life, little did she know just how much her life would actually change.
Sebastian really helped kai face her past in order to help her with her future. We saw how much she struggled and fought against it but she was brave and really faced those demons head on. Sebastian was became her best friend and rock and she quickly learned she needed him in her life.
This book was just full of highs and lows and so many emotions, it just grabbed you in from the start. Seriously a book that has you almost in tears in the first chapter is a serious winner.
I have loved the Gravity series and I'm so happy to have finally read this one. An absolute winner and I definitely recommend this to everyone.

The Trouble with Gravity is the third novel in K.K. Allens Gravity series. It can be read as a standalone but you should totally read those others as well because this series is amazing.
I knew as soon as I finished that prologue that this was going to be an amazing story and I was not wrong. It definitely pulled at my heartstrings!
I fell so in love with Kai and Sebastian. They are both dealing with things from their past and start an amazing friendship that turns into so much more when they can't fight their intense attraction for one another and when both their pasts come back to haunt them they help each other become stronger.
This was another beautifully written sexy slow burn packed with angst and emotion. We see past characters, a whole lot of dancing links (which I LOVE) and some amazing friendships. I love being back in this world and I hope we get another Gravity book in the future.
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the dance aspects of this, as well as the music, you can almost feel lit through the words.
Kia is strong, but vulnerable, as is Sebastian. Together, they’re a great couple.
I liked the drama and the versatility.
This is a solid book, give it a go!
I absolutely devoured this audiobook in a day- Shane East and Keira Stevens absolutely slayed this performance.
KK Allen is a fabulous writer and had me hooked from the start.
This is a beautiful story about a broody successful but messy/ hot tempered Aussie broadway star and producer: Sebastian and a strong, resilient and talented upcoming dancer who dreams of success on Broadway - Kai.
They get off to a rocky start: Sebastian splashes Kai when riding his motorcycle on her way to audition for his ex-broadway play.
They have a fire and also an attraction that is off the charts hot and they both try and resist, especially since Sebastian is Kai’s boss, but fate keeps bringing them together or is that gravity 😉 and they have some pretty confronting demons they have to resolve on their way to their HEA.
Shane and Keira were the perfect Sebastian and Kai and perfectly showcased all the emotion. This was a dual POV narration and the stand out was Shane’s Australian accent - I’m a massive fan and I squeeeeed so hard every time I listen to a Shane book where he plays the Aussie hero…he sounds like a native and it’s not easily done - our accent is difficult and not every Brit gets it right, but Shane is the Ace of Accents! He’s beyond brilliant.
Together Shane and Keira brought the heat and steam to what was a delicious and swoony performance and I fell hard for Sebastian and Kai and was cheering them on from the get go.
KK Allen is a fantastic writer and gave us a delicious story with all the heart, drama and angst that draws you in and you never want to leave.
This was a fantastic story by a great author, performed by exceptional actors! 5 Stars!

Let’s not take up space here with me giving you a synopsis, because that blurb is pure perfection. It gives the reader the general idea of the story without revealing too much but leaving the impression that there is a lot to look forward to. And boy howdy, there is A LOT. Drama, tension, anger, frustration, and a boatload of angst.
Then there's the relationship between Kai and Sebastian. The push and pull between these two is more like a wrenching and shoving wrestling match, and their chemistry is so powerfully charged that the sparks fly off the page. And here’s a sign of a truly talented wordsmith – when the conflict between the characters reads as authentic and fitting to the character rather than annoying and immature, and it's all perfectly done here.
I’m not sure the last time I read characters that were as complex, authentic and larger than life as Kai and Sebastian are. Each is strong and confident but with an underlying vulnerability that makes them even more human and endearing. Sebastian's irreverent arrogance is met by Kei’s feisty determination and propensity for doing the unexpected, and watching their dance is the best kind of entertainment.
Don’t think for a minute that this story is lacking in the other components we love in our romance: steam and heart. This one's steam level is close to incendiary and it has enough heart to sink the Titanic. It was surprising yet satisfying to see a lot of that emotion and heart coming from the irreverent bad boy, himself. He needed a bit of redeeming, and wow, did he deliver!
If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary to read, this book is for you. If you like your romance with tension of every kind, you'll love this story. If you love a strong confident heroine and a cheeky bad boy with a heart of gold, you'll fall nose over toes for Kai and Sebastian. Do your heart a favor and start reading this poignant, mesmerizing, remarkable read today!

Not my first read by the author & every book I have read so far I have loved. This is a little outside of my reading zone because of the profession the hero and heroine are in. She is a dancer and he is a musician/producer, it’s definitely unusual (for my reading style) but in a good way. Definitely lot’s of angst and enemy-to-lovers which happens to be my top favorite tropes. I will warn you that the beginning will shatter your heart a little bit 😦 Oh Kai!
The way Kai & Sebastian met is..haha priceless, involving a motorcycle, handsome man on it & a puddle. Oh and of course a very important audition! So how it truly starts is that Kai is a dancer/actress and she gets an amazing opportunity to perform on Broadway, only if she knew who the producer was…she might have thought twice about this. Sebastian is a man who really enjoys riling up the pretty proper girls, being a musician he is HANDSOME, talented and broken, but that last part no one needs to know.
This story has a “just like the play” feel. Meaning, the play that she is dancing out is kind of playing out in real life except it’s with 2 men and one woman (her) and you’ll understand what I mean once you start reading. (NO it’s not a triangle, calm!) But it is a CAT & MOUSE game that Kai & Sebastian are playing, a very sexy long foreplay. I mean the man is infuriating but also want to jump him. *sigh* I don’t want to say too much because honestly well I don’t do spoilers and also this book from beginning to start will have you hooked. The characters are fantastic, the story line fits and the transitions, SMOOTH! You get both POV’s and a very unexpected read for me, that slight skepticism at the beginning because of the professions changed really fast & I couldn’t have enough!
A MUST READ!

This may very well be my last book review for 2020 and if it is, I am so thankful I got to end the year with Kai and Sebastian.
This book had me from the very beginning and I think if my home life wasn’t so busy, I probably would have finished this over the course of two days. KK Allen has a way of writing emotional books that make me want slow down and enjoy every bit of sadness and happiness that her characters experience.
Kai was beautifully written and as tragic as this book started out, she remained strong and make the most of life, even when all the cards were against her. I also loved how she didn’t hold back when asked if she was a fan of Sebastian after her audition.
“I’m not doing a walkabout in my smalls.”
“Your smalls?”
“Undies, knickers, bum huggers. Why? What do you call ‘em?”
“Definitely not smalls”
Sebastian started off as a douche canoe, but over time you saw that the Bad Boy of Broadway wasn’t as bad as you thought he was. I will however never get over his puddle splashing incident.
“I might have even avoided that puddle. Okay, I would never have splashed her on purpose. As funny as that was, I wasn’t the type of bloke who would go out of his way to Shamu a woman for attention.”
The banter with these two are what I loved the most. I haven’t read a book in a bit with such girl power banter. Kai didn’t take shit from Sebastian and didn’t hold back. I also loved the slow but steady relationship progress these two went through. Sebastian and Kai both have secrets and scar from their past that carry over into their future. However, reading them overcome them and build trust is beautiful.
I would have to say this book is a enemies to friends to lovers. I would also highly recommend this book for anyone to start 2020 off with an emotional read.
