I’m a really big fan of Kathryn Andrews and it’s been a little bit of a wait for her next release but it was absolutely worth it. Shelby is such a beautiful, loveable character and I wish I had her talent in the kitchen!! Zach, one minute I love him (bonus winery owner!), the next I want to punch him but the author really keeps you guessing and hanging on to what happens next. I really enjoyed the side characters and look forward (hopefully) to seeing more of them in the next book. There’s also a very cool bonus at the end of each chapter to check out! Now I’m off to research a winery holiday!! Haha

Lovely story of the mxing of wine and Sweet Southern dishes. I enjoyed the little extra recipes atthe end of each chapter, such a fantastic addition to the whole story.

This is my first book of Kathryn Andrews and definitely not my last. This book is not your average love story and it would leave any romance craving critic wanting more.

This book was beautifully written with mouthwatering recipes leaving the reader to devour them. The characters were perfection; Shelby’s determination and strength versus Zach's arrogant and troublesome personality is what makes these two polar opposites; the perfect recipe for sweetness.

Kathryn did a remarkable job with this story. The pull from the beginning kept me invested until the end. The emotional pull and constant tug of war is what loves all about and in this book it was brilliantly crafted.

The recipes that were given and the description of places that Shelby describes, gives your taste buds are workout and your imagination wanting to be beamed up into this beautiful story. I absolutely loved how the author left the recipes in here for everyone to try out; a very clever idea.

This book is a contemporary romance book and would definitely recommend it to anyone

For just one rating I would like Goodreads to allow me to give this book more than 5 STARS! This book was AMAZING. Everything about this book from the cover, to the way the story was lined with recipes that were incorporated flawlessly, to the beautiful writing. This book was EVERYTHING.

This book not only took your mind through a journey, the author nailed it when it came to scenery. The way the vineyard was described I could see such a clear and enchanting picture in my head. My taste buds for food and wine was also another unexpected and pleasantly hit. The way the food and the wine was described with such passion and details, had me savoring these exact experiences.

This story really is one of my favorite romance genres...Hate to Lovers. Zach, he is this sexy, ex-football player who after his career ended took over his family wine business. Shelby is this beautiful, smart, and very talented, blog, chef and restaurant owner. These two will take you on such an amazing ride . They both are the best of people, but they see the worst in each other. Watching those layers come off one by one was amazing. The FREAKEN chemistry between these two was EVERYTHING! I love when characters have this kind of chemistry.

I loved EVERY part of this book. I know I say this a lot, but this has to be one of my FAVORITE if not FAVORITE book this year. Everything about this book was spot on! It hit all the right places, emotionally.... and goodness that ENDING! I can not wait to see what else we get in this series, because this book right here was the BOMB (is that even cool anymore to say).

PS... This book needs to be a Passionflix movie like yesterday... I can already see it... It would be AMAZING!!!

Go get this book it is a #MUSTREAD! Believe me you will thank me later!

I love a good enemies to lovers book as much as I do friends to lovers, and Ms. Andrews certainly delivered with Zach and Shelby. There is a delicate balance of likability when it comes to this trope, and Kathryn toed the line perfectly. The characters were just likable enough on their own that I found myself rooting for them in the end. It just goes to show what one little miscommunication can turn into ;) I love the 100% passion that both Shelby and Zach put into their respective crafts; cooking & food, and wine & football, respectively. The excitement bleeding through the characters made me excited to learn about it as well- the wines and the processes involved, and even the business end of the winery.

The secondary characters were fun, and I found myself curious as to all of their back-stories: Meg, Lexi, Kyle, Michelle...what makes them who they are? I'd love to know more about them for sure. Let's hope Ms. Andrews is "cooking" up their stories as we speak (pun definitely intended!).

I think that what I really enjoyed most, though, was all the detail. I loved the formatting, with the wine bottles as a part of the "Z" in Zach's chapters, the bees, and even what I'm assuming went into the creation of Shelby's name. The aspect that set it above the rest was the recipes included in each chapter. You can tell that the author put a lot of thought and work into her research in addition to her storytelling. Bravo <3

I laughed, I swooned, and I drank a lot of wine. ;) I’ve been anxiously awaiting a new release from Kathryn Andrews and this book did not disappoint. Charming and unique, it’s everything I want from a contemporary romance, with a touch of spice I wasn’t expecting. I love a good enemies-to-lovers, and the angsty scenes where they were all up in each other's space? LOVED! But, what I loved most about The Sweetness of Life was how every chapter had a recipe, how the theme of food, wine, and southern charm flowed through every page, adding more than just romance to this beautiful story. It was fresh and fun, and I adored every page!
