Crazy woman from an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

I was coming out of a massive book hangover and had started and stopped a few books before I remember the genius that is Stylo Fantome had written a book I hadn’t read yet. Slow Dancing is magic. It swept me away into an enchanting, beautiful, colorful world and left me better than I was before. Stylo’s books move me like no one else. You should read EVERYTHING she writes. She’s a wizard, a phenomenal writer, expert story teller, and character building genius. It blows my mind how each her her books are so insanely different yet so perfectly whole. I’ve never read another character quite like Woods, and I’m so thankful she wrote him. Characters like him, who push readers to think and understand all people is one of the best parts of reading. Read this, read Bad Ones, read the Kane Series, read everything she writes, you’ll be thankful you did.

This book has me at a loss on what to write in a review. Not only has it left me inarticulate, but the words I might use will have the review bots all over this, so I’m doubly hamstrung. If you’ve read this author before, you know to expect the unexpected, and this is certainly unexpected. I suspect there will be critics on both sides, so I applaud Fantome for challenginging herself and taking a chance on something different.

If you’re looking for a typical contemporary romance, you won’t find that here. And if you take a hard enough line on cheating that it includes kissing, you'll definitely want to look elsewhere. Our hero, Woods, likes “all the colors in the crayon box,” as he puts it. This includes fellow backup dancer, Jeremy, their beautiful pop star Logan, and a long string of hearts of every variety.

While it took me a while to warm up to Woods, Logan had me eating out of her hand from the very beginning. She's just the kind of broken but incredibly strong I adore in a heroine, and I loved seeing her get her HEA. Her road to forever is troubled, bumpy, and difficult, but angst lovers will hang on every word. If you’re looking for something different and have an open mind, this one should be right up your alley.

4.5 stars. Logan Cassidy is an up and coming pop star who rise to fame is growing by the day. Originally she started as a dancer, but now she is also a singer yet her true passion remains dancing. And her newest backup dancer, Woods Donahue, is one of the few who can keep up with her level of talent. Dancing is not his only speciality. Right from the very beginning, the vibes from Woods towards Logan are sizzling off the page although she does her very best to ignore them because she doesn't believe that Woods is actually interested in her. Never mind that she also doesn't get involved with anyone in her crew. Or anyone in general. I really loved how these two came together because Logan keeps to herself despite her public persona. She doesn't mingle with others and she has insecurities that make it hard for her to truly open up. Woods has this larger than life personality that is endearing and lovable and downright sexy. He is so vibrant and animated that it's impossible not to notice him or believe that he is casting any special attention on anyone because he's also flirty and extroverted. The chemistry is right there from the very beginning but the relationship is a slow build filled with passion and angst but also these cute and sweet moments. The Logan whom Woods sees vs the Logan whom she herself sees are not always the same person and yet they are. Woods is absolutely fascinated by her and Logan worries that the novelty will wear off and her career is at stake. Can they outlast the initial intrigue? I loved this dynamic of push and pull with give and take because despite everything, it's obvious that these two shine the most with each other.

I usually love the author’s books, but this one just fell kinda flat for me. Character development was good, but I just didn’t care for the storyline. Good read, but not my favorite.

Can I just say I love this author!? She has this uncanny talent for making me fall for things I could never imagine myself falling for. Open sexuality like Woods's would never be something I'd be comfortable with in a partner in real life, yet she made me fall in love with him anyway. I don't know if that's a testament of her writing ability or if she, like Woods, just KNOWS things about people. Either way, I can't get enough of it. Of the dirty, messy love and sex and drama (which this book is chock full of). Of characters that are half crazy but completely loveable. Outside of Sanders, Jeremy may be my new favorite supporting character of Stylo's. He gave this book so much life and lightness. Logan and Woods needed it to balance out all their heavy. And the dancing... I grew up dancing and love it still. What I wouldn't give to have someone like Woods to dance with me! I definitely recommend this book!

Oh look another book I didn't bother to read the blurb for before I asked for review it. I great enjoy Stylo Fantome so I had to read this book.

Logan is a pop princess content with letting other people run her life. Woods is Logan's new dance partner and her best friends lover. 😱. Did I mention her best friend is a guy? Yeah, it's wild.

This story is complex. Like everything isn't black and white. There's also red and blue. I loved the story of Logan and Woods. Woods is like my new hero now. Imagine my surprise when the male lead character is revealed to be pansexual! And not in a gimmicky way. Trust me I find myself often upset when people who look like me are thrown into books to fill the quota. .

I don't know where to start with this book. It definitely isn't a typical Stylo Fantome story, that's for sure! I didn't read the blurb so I had no idea what it was about, but as I love her books, I knew I'd want to read it anyway.
This is a beautiful love story. It's a slow burn, a tease - it pulls you in and grips you and you desperately need to know what's going to happen. The joy as Logan and Woods develop is beautiful to read. Those wonderful moments when you realise you like someone and they may be looking at you too - or not - described beautifully. The flirtation that might not be flirtation, but if it is, it's breath-taking...beautiful!
Jeremy, Logan's bestie, he's larger than life and so much fun!
Super book. So worth reading. Highly recommended.

“Sometimes, I wake up in the morning
To red, blue, and yellow skies
It's so crazy, I could drink it like tequila sunrise
Put on that Hotel California
Dance around like I'm insane
I feel free when I see no one
And nobody knows my name.”
God Knows I Tried – Lana Del Rey

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Logan Cassidy is a popstar on tour. Woods is a talented dancer that dances on her tour. They’re an unusual pairing that at first finds itself at odds with one another. Logan wants to keep her career intact, so she keeps avoiding her feelings. Woods, who usually has no issues finding a new toy to play with (unisex, female or male LOL), is trying to ignore his feelings for Logan, but she keeps lurking in his head.

Stylo Fantome is one of my favorite authors! When I heard that she had a new book coming out, I immediately felt elated! She’d posted about the sexual preferences of the characters and how they might be considered unconventional for the typical romance reader. THAT of course had me TRIPLE enthusiastic. I love when our (we a family y’all) books think outside of the box!!!!! Sexual preferences are usually kept on a straight line in the romances that I read, so I was curious to see how this story would turn out. I read it while waiting in line for a concert HAHA and it kept me entertained, busy and happy! The characters were mesmerizing. Logan (the lead girl) had her occasional WTF girl CHILL moments, but in total, she was relatable, pained and lovable (even if she doesn’t believe that she is). Woods… I loved him. Complex. Adorable. Sexy. I felt for him when everyone was questioning his sexuality and he sat there, seemingly confused at why these people were picking it apart so hard. It appeared very realistic. I know people question others like it’s their own business as soon as they say they like more than one gender. Next to the sexual preferences, this story had lots of drama which I LOVED. I thoroughly enjoy it when authors tackle the entertainment industry and do it WELL. It was a page-turner! Anyone who enjoys Stylo Fantome books should read this. This story is for open-minded people who enjoy an unconventional romance!

“She says, ‘You don't want to be like me
Don't wanna see all the things I've seen’
I'm dying, I'm dying
She says, ‘You don't want to get this way
Famous and dumb at an early age’
Lying, I'm lying.”
