Parallel by Elizabeth O’Roark is book 1 of a duet that right at this point I’m not sure I’ll pursue to the end. This is the first novel I’ve read by Elizabeth and I’d say the first time travel too, although I have read and enjoyed Transcend and Epoch by Jewel E Ann, and Find me Alastar by TL Swan, both deal with relationships spanning more than 1 lifetime but not specifically time travel. I have to be honest and say I’ve really enjoyed part 1, it has kept my interest totally but..... Anyone that has read my reviews knows I’m a big wuss when it comes to suspense and in fact I’ve been known to skip the icky parts completely because the HEA is where it’s at for me. The end of Parallel is in the midst of ickyness which has me guessing who, what, where and when but right now I don’t have it in me to read the icky to get to the HEA. Maybe I just need a day or 2 to gird my loins. If you enjoy suspense, I’d say read this because I really have enjoyed it.

What if you found out your life wasn’t what you thought it was? If the future you planned wasn’t the future you were meant to have! Would you live the life other’s wanted you to have or live the life you were meant to live!? But more importantly would you even know the difference!

This is not your usual contemporary romance and you’ll need to bring your imagination along for this story as Parallel weaves the past, present and the future together in this cleverly written story.

This is part one and you’ll need to read part two for it’s conclusion. My advice is to not read reviews as you don’t want spoilers for this one. This is a first time read of this author and I really enjoyed this.

This book is an amazing read. What if you have these dreams and thoughts that you have been here and experienced these feelings before - but not to the person you're engaged to??
I was kept guessing the whole way through the read. I am fully invested in this book - now I just need to bloody wait for the conclusion. Yes, it finishes on a cliffhanger. But, with only a couple weeks between each release, we don't have to wait for long!!

I enjoyed this!
We end this one in a massive hoof with no real questions answered.
Fmc has a lot of baggage that is t really clear at this stage what we exactly caused it. There’s bits and pieces we are told about but no real depth which I’m 100% expecting in book two.

I liked out mmc he’s quite perfect.
I’m at a loss as to who the “bad guy” is but I believe the fmc is targeted because of her child.

I’m excited for book two!
Narration was fabulous both female and male
This is done in duel narration.

Nick doesn’t understand as clearly as Quinn does when he meets her that they are meant to be together. He cannot deny his attraction to her or how she seems to know things about him. I downloaded the entire series. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
