Not sure where I got this book from but I do enjoy a story with mountain men or cowboys.

Mountain Darkness is Book 1 in her Wild Mountain Series. This series centred around Kit, Donovan & Nix and how they get together but the side story is the murder of Kits friend which will continue throughout the rest of series.

It wasn't a fantastic read but I did enjoy it and they are quick reads (less than 2hrs) so I will definitely continue on with the series.

Kit is a suspect and the two men she is in love with are a police detective and the local prosecutor. Talk about conflict of interest. A very well written story. The reactions and feelings of the characters fairly pop off the pages. Very well worth reading.

This ménage romance is book one in a series. It is written in first person from multiple POV.
Nix is the gruff detective. His best friend Donovan is the sunny, fun guy who happens to be an attorney in the DA's office. Kit is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks that they always wanted. She is also the roommate of a girl that turns up murdered, making her a prime suspect.
I love the heat, and the protectiveness the guys have for Kit. I appreciate Kit's insecurities. I love how resilient she is in the face of outright meanness from some members of their small town of Cutthroat, Montana. The author delivers a smoking hot romance between the men and Kit as I expected after reading the Bridgewater series. What I did not expect, was to be sucked into a murder mystery. I ended up binging the whole series.
I loved the plot, the passion, and the characters. There are a few errors that should have been caught in proofreading. They were a little frustrating, but did not take away from the enjoyment of the book. The whole series was a fun and fast read.

Despite the subject this is a sweet little story. Likable characters. My only complaint is that it's lacking some depth. The author has not delved far into the personalities involved and I think there's a lot of potential here for a deeper read. But,if you want a simple menage story then this is for you.
