Legally Ours (Spitfire Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 2,983 ratings

I know betrayal.
That deep stab when those closest to you deceive your fragile trust.
The aching loss when secrets cost you everything, including the love of your life.

Scared and alone, I have no reason to believe in rescue.
Not when I can still see Brandon's face as I smashed his heart to pieces.

But even if he does come, will he be the same?
The old Brandon is emerging, and I'm scared of the person he may become in order to protect me:
a ruthless hoodlum who'd rather use fists than brains to solve his problems.

He'll do what he has to do, and I'll be there no matter what.
But will he still be the man I fell in love with when all’s said and done?

Nicole French is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance. She's also a hopeless romantic, low-key fashion addict, and total bookworm. When not writing, she is hanging out with her family, playing soccer or going on dates with her husband. In her spare time, she likes to go running or practice the piano but never seems to do either one of these things as much as she should.

I love all Nicole French books! I read the Hate Vow series 1st, I didn’t realize that Jan and Eric were in this series!

The series was waaaaaaay too long but the third book was better than the second, that's for sure. I still think many things were rushed or not talked about enough but all in all, their story ends well and that's what matters to me :)

I loved this book. Every page was intriguing and I just could not put it down. A beautiful and very different kind of love story. The characters were both real and added just the right amount of humor to the story. Great book.

Too much sex, poor story, too many cliches. Booooooring.
The characters follow a line that has nothing to do with their so-called personality, the choices they make are only there to add more and more drama, artificially.
And the sex described in details is so present it makes them look like rabbits. Boring.
Pity. Nicole French can write, obviously, but she's wasting her talent in her sexual fantasies. She should try to focus on making her storyline more credible and more interesting. Useless.

Messina kidnapped Skylar and then phoned to tell Brandon he wanted money for her release. Brandon goes to track him down with out his security men. When he finds Skylar Messina had kept hitting Skylar around the head so she kept passing in and out of consciousness. He sent a photo on Skylars phone of her and Brandon raced to save her. When he eventually found her he took care of the two men Messina had with him and then saved Skylar. Brandon stayed with her nearly the whole time much to the annoyance of Cory his campaign manager. Brandon security men helped Bubbe and her Dad pack up the house to move to Boston. Even though she had a concussion, cracked ribs and sprained ankle they let her go home after four days. Brandon took her to his apartment.
Skylar and Brandon had an up and down relationship as both had secrets. At the same time Cory, Brandon’s campaign manager treat Skylar like dirt calling her his bit on the side or worse.
They still weren’t talking as Brandon left early and got home late. I’m not going to spoil the rest only to say you must read the three books that make up this series.
