I truly love the Kings MC series and absolutely enjoyed reading Nix and Synne's story. Nix is a man that has been through alot in his life and is struggling to get through it all. Synne fed up with her cheating ol man of five years decides to leave and ends up in Nashville working for Nix at his bike shop. They have instant chemistry but Nix is still dealing from his woman Jenna's murder. Will Nix let his walls down and be with Synne? Is Synne strong enough to get him to take a chance with her? This book has a little bit of everything heartbreak, laughs, club rivalry, bike week and of course lots of heavy sex scenes. I really enjoy catching up with other characters also. I love Nix (although Dominic is still my fav) and I am looking forward to more of the guys stories in the future.

I have struggled with how to write this review because while I usually love what we get from this author, loved the first two books in this series and was so excited to finally be getting Nix's story, it just wasn't what I was expecting. It may have had wonderful characters, a good storyline, lots of "feels," and even more hot sex, it was more of a while it lasts lust story than a happily ever after love story.
When Nix loses Jenna, he spends two months drunk, depressed and having sex with "bike bunnies" to get over her. And then he meets Synne, who is basically running from her own issues, and the reason he tries to stay away from her isn't that he is still missing Jenna, the woman he loved, but because he is afraid that if the Royals find out about her, they will get her too. And it doesn't take much for him to decide that even though Synne could be in danger by being with him, the risks are worth it.

This series always had the heat level I love, but this newest release gave it heart. I loved Nix’s alpha, hard character which cracks when tragedy happens that takes a part of him. Enter Synne’s character and with a name like that you have to expect her to bring the sass in sassy and she does along with the will to fight for a man like Nix. I loved their chemistry and their banter, but their delicious loving left me wanting more. If you enjoy MC reads than this is a definite must read for you.

Great book! I was eager to learn more about Liz's brother, Nix, the MC Pres. Betty Shreffler did not disappoint. She did a wonderful job with his character development and showing his hard side, but also his passion for the people he loves. Swoon! Synne was a strong heroine and balanced out Nix beautifully. The suspense was woven in nicely with some smoking hot love scenes and kept the pages turning. I am about to go check out some more of Betty's books now. Really love her writing style!

Oh. My. God . Where to start, i had been waiting for this story for what seems a lifetime, and it here. Looking so forward to nix and Jenna's story only to be crushed 2 chapters in. I will say, i was mad ! Having said that , i continued to read as i had to know where this was going .. enter Synne in this picture with a tortured soul like Nix, she doesn't back down and doesn't run away when he pushes her away, eventually understanding where his head is and why. They grow and get to know each others souls and become a team of strength and resilience. I didn't want this to end, i wanted to just keep going with everyone in the Kings club ! Highly recommend reading the first 2 books so you get a better picture of what the King's are all about

Ok, so without giving any spoilers away, I feel like people should know that the hero has sexual type scenes with two woman pervious to being with the heroine so if you're a little more sensitive or just don't like that type of thing, be very aware.
Now that that's out the way, I really did enjoy this book once I got over those pages. The story is told well and while it can be read as a stand alone, it makes more sense if you start at book one of the series. I like the author's writing style as she isn't afraid to just shoot it straight and not mince any words.
I loved Nix, there is so much more to him that you finally get to see, he is all heart and has a filthy mouth I just couldn't resist.
Synne has been through a lot but she is badass and I had to love her and her unwavering loyalty.
All in all, it was a good book that had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation and emotion. The sexy times were beyond hot and more than once I needed a little ice cream to cool me down.
This is my honest and unbiased review.
