Malakai and Amelie are an unlikely pair. He is a hardened biker while she is a quiet, soft spoken musician. But they have a strong attraction that they can't resist. Amalie was in a car crash which took her hearing and left her ex boyfriend with burn scars and loss of mobility. Inner strength saved her, slightly, when the evil drug smuggler Treyton kidnaps and beats her...again. The bikers win but there is an even greater evil out there. Charlie, their hired infiltrator, was also held and beaten along with Amelie. She appears to be in grave danger with a million dollar bounty on her head.

Good second chapter to this saga. The only thing I find annoying is that the biker, in both stories so far, gets so angry, doesn't believe in the girl, and assumes she is a liar!

Book two has more umph! Amalie and Malakai are thrown together in a chance meeting in book 1. Mal knows in his heart Amalie is the one for him but convincing her dark soul of that will be harder than it looks. They both have demons and only together can they lift the darkness they are both trying to hide.
