His Little Wife Lie: A Billionaire Fake Marriage Romance Kindle Edition

4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 936 ratings

IT'S NOT A LIE IF WE BELIEVE IT'S TRUE.

That's what Griff Foster said right after he asked me to be his wife.
Sweet, isn't he?

Let's be real: his proposal had nothing to do with romance. Falling in love isn't in his DNA. With piercing blue eyes and a hard body to match, he goes through women like candy.

But he saved my life.

I promised I'd repay him. I should learn when to keep my mouth shut.
Griff needs a Mrs. Right Now, and he's convinced I'm the perfect actress.

In case I have any doubts, there are seven badly needed zeroes on a check with my name on it to help make up my mind.

Ugh.

We're totally fake. Nothing but lies.

Except the way his lips feel on mine.
Except the way his touch sets my body ablaze.
Except the way my soul aches when he looks into my eyes.

He says that without me, he loses everything.
But if I've got the upper hand, why does it feel like he's in control?

There's only one thing missing from this arrangement.
What happens to my heart when it's over?

Sloan Storm pens imaginative yarns based on dominant men and the women who challenge them. As such, power plays and passion are the heart of each and every story.

The writer's creative tendencies may drift as the mood strikes, but the essence of all tales told wind up back at the same place... the polarizing difference between the sexes.

After all, what else is there in life?

When not glued to a keyboard creating tales of whimsy, Sloan loves to talk to fans!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Griff Foster is a player. Plain and simple. So, when he saves Lily, she owes him big time and that's what she tells him. Big mistake. Lily should have just replied thank you and kept her big mouth shut.
Soon after, Lily finds herself unemployed and looking for work. Griff is all too eager to help and tells Lily he has the perfect job for her. Griff proposes a fake marriage; one that will benefit them both. First Lily has to deal with the shock of who Griff really is. Lily assumed he was just some unassuming man who was in the right place at the right time when she needed him. But this? Griff is actually Griff Foster, heir to Foster Holdings and her soon-to-be fake husband. Lily ran from one man into another, but this one could possibly be more dangerous to her and her heart as well. No matter, Griff needs a wife to solidify his standing with Foster Holdings and Lily just so happened to stumble into his life and steal his heart. Lily just needs to keep her wits about her so when the fairytale ends, which it will, she doesn't leave with a broken heart. What Lily doesn't know is that Griff isn't about to let their happily ever after vanish without a fight. He wants Lily for keeps.

MANY TWISTS AND TURNS, BUT 💕TRUE LOVE💕NEVER GIVES UP !

Such a sweet story with an overwhelming meaning of what life is truly about.
Griff Foster had always been a playboy living life to its fullest with women, parties, and a lot of hard work taking over the family business. He enjoyed his single life but loved his job more. He didn’t take things too seriously but his grandfather tried raising him with family values that Griff never fully understood until his grandfather put a condition in his will. Griff was to find a wife by his 29th birthday or lose the family business. Then along comes Lily, the woman who agrees to be his fake fiancé. Trouble is, the two are very attracted to each other and that’s not allowed in the contract they both signed to be in a fake relationship.

I really wanted to give this book 5 stars but there were so many editing errors - whole words left out, switching from 1st person (Lily) to 3rd person in the same sentence, misspellings - there were a LOT. This was a very good story that could have been done better in a lot of ways. At the beginning there were a few things that didn't add up and one statement made by Lily early on was either a lie she told Griff re her sexual situation or the author forgot what she said. I say this because the initial statement was not later refuted yet the situation became the opposite of the initial statement. (In other words it was confusing.). I don't like to take off stars for editing but this was too many errors to ignore. BUT I DID like the story, though it needed some tweeking.

What I love most was griff's determination and understanding of what was truly was important to him the fact that he was willing to lose it all to have sneaks back in his life was all worth it at the end to lose papa but gain a family of his own was a testament within itself. Sneaks stood her ground when she thought Griff had cheated on her the 2nd time and it broke my heart to see them apart the one person she trusted to give her virginity had hurt yet again. Love won at the end and I'm happy.☺

Griff is a player but still a hero to Lily whom he saves. Lily promises him that any way she can repay him she will. Well you know what happens... While a bit predictable in places, I did enjoy the story and appreciated Lily and her kindness. When Griff needs a wife to keep his inheritance, she has Lily be his fake wife. Only it backfires on him and he no longer wants it to end. Lily never stood a chance to not fall in love with him.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

When people think money is the most important thing in their life. Griff was given a choice by his grandfather, regarding hi inheritance. Griff meets Lilly, when she is in a situation Thant she is being compromised. Their story is a unique one, definitely has its ups and downs, people plotting to keep them apart. Great love conquers all.💖

Fun read. Parts of it was stressful, exciting, what in the world and of course the happily ever after.

Funny quote:
I twitched at the wrist, unconsciously trying to pull free of him. I worried that if I didn't, the zipper on the back of my dress might undo itself.

When ‘f this, f that, f you, f me’ is the extent of a writer’s creativity, it’s time to either enroll in a creative writing class, or look for a new career.
A rambling, annoying style of virtually all narrative, minimal conversation, makes for a boring story. Liberally, and I do mean liberally sprinkle the ‘f’ word on every page, sometimes in every paragraph, makes it, for me, unenjoyable to the point of losing all interest.
Not a book I would recommend. Ever. To anybody.

This is a hot story that keeps you turning the pages. Griffin needs a wife to be able to run the family empire after his grandpa's death. While he's at his cabin in the woods he hears a woman screaming and goes to see what's up. And that's when he meets Lilly and this great combination of action starts. This is a really great read I started reading this when I went to bed and it hooked me ,so now I've finished reading This morning! I can get some nap time to catch up on the Zzzzz's
