Frankie—Unforgettable (Man Up Book 3) Kindle Edition
No one understands why I love him.
Why I need him.
Why I took him back.
But they don’t have to.
I know.
Despite the hurt and the heartache, I see beneath his skin.
And I’m different now.
No more Flirty Frankie. I'm done with being King of the club.
My dreams have changed, and so have I.
I’m stronger.
I believe in myself.
And I’m a hell of a lot smarter than a year ago.
Now it's his turn to show me the man he really is.
To prove it.
I've always loved him.
But that's not enough.
I need to learn to trust him.
Aaron
No more excuses.
No more chances.
I make this right or lose him for good.
I have to do this.
No one has ever believed in me but him.
No one has ever wanted me but him.
I can’t let him down.
I won’t.
I can’t let myself down.
I’m trying, but it's so damn hard.
No matter what they throw at me, I’m stronger.
And I’m going to make it.
I’m on my way.
With Frankie by my side.
I can see the future.
I have a future.
Us. Together.
Forever.

About the author
Felice Stevens writes romance because what is better than people falling in love? Her favorite part of a romance novel is that first kiss…sigh. She loves creating stories of hopes and dreams and happily ever afters. Her stories are character-driven, rich with the sights, sounds and flavors of New York City and filled with men who are sometimes deeply flawed but always real.
Felice writes M/M romance because she believes that everyone deserves a happily ever after. Having traveled all over the world, she can safely say that the universal language that unites people is love. Felice has written in a variety of sub-genres, including contemporary, paranormal and has a mystery series as well.
Felice is a two time Lambda Literary Award nominee and the Lambda Literary Award winner for Best Gay Romance for her book, The Ghost and Charlie Muir.

Aaron has to control his temper if he wants to keep Frankie in his life.
There is a lot of angst and doubt in this story as the author weaves a story of will they or won't they stick together.
Characters from previous 'Man Up' books are in the story as they worry about Aaron and Frankie's relationship. They are their for Frankie and want to protect him if Aaron reverts back to his old ways.
There are a lot of secondary characters such as: Cort, James and Tristan who allow us to predict that there will more stories to come.
Well done!

It was a wonderful story that stirred my emotions . I don’t always go for hurt/comfort, but this was done really well, and dealt honestly with pain and loss and getting over trauma.
I was given an arc in exchange for an honest review.
This story had me captured and it was such a shame work interfered with reading this book as I could of sat there and devoured it all!
I loved Frankie and Aaron’s story, I loved watching them grow together and be a better person not just for each other but for themselves. Realising what they truly wanted from their lives and seeing to make their dreams reality!
I love how all the group are still so heavily involved in the story.
Such another beautiful story and I’m really excited for Cort!!!!!
Aaron gets out of jail and is staying with Frankie again. I’ve told you this because the author sets this story up as a story of gaining trust in order to rekindle the relationship. With the characters co-habitating and even sleeping together, it added a realistic twist to the story that I found fascinating. These guys aren’t rich they’re just a couple of guys trying to get by, Frankie as a stripper and Aaron in gardening/landscaping it makes them easily relatable and the reason they are living together that much more believable.
Character growth was AMAZING especially with Aaron and as a reader I was able to experience it as he made his breakthroughs. Aaron not only had to gain Frankie’s trust but the trust of their friends. In this type of story and setting it takes more than an individual to grow, it takes friends around them. I’m sure there is proverb out there that goes something like, “Personal Growth can be achieved quicker and with greater resource with the help of friends” Aaron needed this, he needed to feel better about himself, he needed that inner strength to prove to Frankie that he is a man worth that 2nd chance.
I have to admit that Aaron was my favorite character, for me his character development was stronger so I understood him more. With Frankie I was getting mixed signals about him, I never was able to get a solid, This is Frankie, moment. At times he felt like a twink and on the effeminate side and then later he’s this 6′ tough masculine guy, I really wish that I could have found who he is.
I would say this is a stand-alone with a bit of mystery added to it. Some of the secondary characters in this book are just there, some you get to know and others that left me wondering, and everything in this sentence is OK.
Now, I do have a bone to pick.
(Spoiler alert)
The only thing I didn't care for, was Frankie's comment to Aaron at the very end, 'That some people are given heavy burdens as a test to see how much they can carry. '
That is one of the worst, and most ludicrous things you could ever say to someone that's come from an abusive, or neglectful background. There is never a reason for someone to be abused, or neglected, etc. Yes, Aaron made mistakes, and didn't know how to deal with his feelings because of how he was raised, and it caused him to treat Frankie in a bad way. He started a fight in a bar and ended up in prison, where he was repeatedly raped.
I don't feel like there was a reason for him being abandoned as an infant, and then thrust into the foster system, where he suffered even more. Then, to go to prison, (which I do agree that he had to pay for what he did) But being raped over and over... how is that a test? Like, some people are just meant for that? Wrong.
I came from a very abusive background, and one of my Religious co-workers said to me that 'It was meant to be. That God had a reason... ' I can't tell you how horribly that effected me. That's just so wrong.
Sorry for the rant. I'll put away my soap box.
Anyway, it turned out good, and I'm glad I read it. I recommend it.
