Teenage Lark Somers was working her job at Brack's Box restaurant. Business was so slow that she was wishing a customer would walk in to break up the boredom. It seems like I was meant to come in here today.” Remembering that she needs this job, she seats him at an outside table. Promising to join him as soon as her shift is over. But as she passes the glass doors she finds his table empty. He vanished up in smoke, taken her foolish broken-heart with him.
Seven years would pass before fate would have their paths cross once again.
