Beautiful, emotional and heartbreaking

Such a beautiful but emotional story. I didn’t feel like I was reading a story, I felt as though I was in the story. We first met Nash & Macy in Everything I Never Wanted. Even then I knew we needed to hear their story and couldn’t wait for it. Ms Street you have outdone yourself on this one. I felt every emotion as though I was there. Loved that we got to catch up with Tucker & Camryn and laughed out loud with some of the scenes with Shayne. She’s a crack up and I’m so glad you wrote more with her. For me it was definitely worth more than five stars. Thank you for your craft, you do an exceptional job.

A series of miscommunications and secrets

Not so much a "slow burn" as dozens of false starts and miscommunications. The love is there, the passion is there but the hurt, misunderstanding and secrets are there too. Can Nash & Macy get past their own egos and need to protect each other and actually be with each other. An absolutely great story with lost of raw emotion and the obligatory hot sex and happy ending.

This was an okay book. I didn’t realise it was the second in the series, which makes so much sense now, lol.
I did feel like the story was a little rushed, that it jumped in the deep end and didn’t really recover. Details were skipped. It would’ve been better to be a bit longer, to let the whole story develop.
Still, the characters were solid and I liked the setting. If you’ve got time and like small town, second chance romances, give it a go.

Another 10++ star favorite read from this author! Her stories are consistently brilliantly written, emotional gold, and this fits right in. We get a glimpse of our main characters in book 1, and that glimpse was so potent, they needed their own story. Nash & Macy have history, and the have things they need to work through to get to their HEA.

Their journey to that HEA is rough, but also always full of love. I laughed, I cried, I rooted for them! I smiled at their banter (and their interactions w/ young Shayne, awwww!) and swooned with their steam, cried with their heartaches and enjoyed every single page read.

Amazing read, re-read, and recommendation! : )

Well.... I think I may have recovered from my emotional breakdown now, enough to write my review at least.
Nash and Macy have broken my heart. Their love is epic; and it needed to be to get through their baggage.

I just love Nash and his big ol’ heart. There’s something about, when I read of a man crying, that moulds me to them, and I am his. Completely. MINE!!!

Macy is as stubborn as a mule! That girl is so independent it’s frustrating. Let Nash take care of you woman!

The words in this book have made me feel the depth of emotion that I’m sure many people have felt durin the same situation as Macy has been through. #heartbreaking.

Yet another fantastic story from the fabulous K Street. Well done lady.
