Jacob Chance has been one of my favourite authors since I read and fell in love with two of his earlier books (The Quake Duet) and when I saw the first teasers for Drive - his latest release, a sports rom-com - I knew I was in for an awesome book.

Drive tells the story of fun guy Nick (you'll love his obsession with food and crazy t-shirts) and straight-laced Carter, who is trying to break free of her old image after a crappy split with her ex. What ensues is one of the sweetest, most romantic books I have read this year!! Nick is the most swoon-worthy man, so infatuated with Carter he can't think straight. And seeing him try to break down the walls around Carter's heart is just magical.

"Every time we're together he bulldozes his way into my life a little further and it surprises me how much they pleases me."

All in all, Drive was absolutely fantastic!!! It was light and funny and romantic and such an easy read - but in the best way. It made me laugh, it made my jaw drop and it made me want a Nick all of my own. Without a doubt, one of my favourite books of 2017.

Nick is hilarious and lovable. The perfect fun loving guy that Carter needs to help her lighten up and feel loved. I enjoyed this as a good light read. I felt it was a bit rushed and cut off at the end and it could have done with being a little longer to draw out a bit more story at the end. However a good enjoyable read,

What do you get when you have a College Football star and a gorgeous flighty slightly older woman and one random kiss that was hot enough to light up the whole town?

You get Drive a Sports Romance with a splash of Rom Com, it will have you laughing out loud one minute and hot under the collar the next. I was hooked from the prologue and have been eagerly awaiting the rest of this story since I read Punched.

Carter's life hasn't turned out quite the way she planned and at her sisters engagement party she makes the most craziest decision she has ever made with a tall, sexy stranger. In a split second she decides it's now or never so she grabs his hand and drags him somewhere dark and private.

Now as any man will attest, Nick is not one to say no to a pretty girl, in fact he is downright entertained watching the inner turmoil of this crazy beautiful girl waging a war with herself if she will actually follow through. To Nick's surprise she does and it's the single most hottest thing that's ever happened to either of them and as soon as it's begun it's over.

Nick is a smooth talker and used to getting what he wants but he has his work cut out for him with Carter. She's not falling for his charms and unlucky for him she's also done with Relationships. Can Nick's sexy cocky smart mouth win him a chance at a round two? You'll have to one click to see.

I throughly enjoyed the banter and sexual chemistry between these two, you will be hooked from the first page. Jacob did a fantastic job of nailing the emotion of both characters, his books just keep getting better. Get ready to go for a sexy and funny adventure with these two.

The last time I reviewed a Jacob Chance book (Penalty) I said no more. I lied. I fell for the hype and thought I would have a better experience this time around.

And I did to some degree. The book is not bad. For me it’s hovering on average. What does help is that it is longer than the previous one I read so there was greater opportunity to develop the characters. But I still need more. There is still a connect-the-dot style to the writing that makes the flow choppy.

Finally, this is not a book about football. Yes, Nick is on a football team but the only part this plays in the book is the tension it creates between him and his father, who is obsessed with Nick playing professional while Nick is more than ready to leave the game behind.

This book isn’t bad but I feel like I need to read the series from the start to understand Nick better. He was a good strong character and Carter was a strong female. She didn’t go sad and sappy like most female characters do but she did let her insecurities get the better of her. Will go and try the others and see how they go.

This was my first Jacob Chance book, but it most certainly will not be my last.

I was hooked on the story right from the beginning. Nick is the most adorable and cocky, funny, sweet and sexy guy. *Insert heart eyes here*.

I totally loved him as the main male lead in this. I also really liked his best friends and I can’t wait to read their books too.

Carter was a pretty cool female lead, and I totally understood her insecurities. Hind-sight is a wonderful thing, so it was great to see her learning to become herself again and revelling in her, freedom, for lack of a better word, and her confidence slowly coming back. I also liked both of her sisters, and her Dad wasn’t really in it much, but theres one particular bit at the end that made me love him instantly. You’ll know what I’m talking about when you read this, or you’ll already know if you have read the book already.

I sped through this book and I really enjoyed it. I laughed a lot, Nick is a really funny character, and so swoony as well. This was just a really enjoyable and easy read. Theres not really any angst and the storyline plays out nicely.

Well done to Jacob Chance and I can’t wait to read more of his work.

P.S. Where can I get that Nick shirt? (No spoilers here, but you’ll know the shirt I mean once you’ve read the book).

So, props to Jacob Chance on making me laugh out loud for real, other RomCom's have failed to do so which have left me disapointed! This book is filled with sexual innuendos, awesome tee shirts with hilarious sayings and so much more. Nick is so very swoon worthy of a character, he makes me wish I could yank him out of the book and make him real. If I could give this book 100 stars out of 5 I would, it's become my new favorite and people need to one click this!

Carter is feeling disheartened after her long-term boyfriend cheats on her with her friend and gets her pregnant. Suddenly her friend is living the life she thought was hers. I loved Nick! Yes, he was hot and he knew it. Girls always swarmed around him, but he was a good guy that was honest, caring and sweet. He tries to get Carter to open up and be herself and I loved him for it! He genuinely cared for her, but because of what her ex did, she was so guarded at times.

Carter is tired of always being the good girl. Where has it really gotten her? Frustrated where her life is going, she decides to take a chance. So what does she do? She kisses the hottest man she has ever seen. And the kiss? Well it was one that turned her world upside down. But then she runs away. When they meet again months later, Carter is done with relationships, but Nick has other plans!

I loved watching Nick with Carter get to know each other. He is one hot and sexy male, but with Carter he was so much more. I loved seeing them spend time together and really get to know each other. I laughed and swooned throughout the entire story. Can Nick win the girl when she pushes him away at every turn?

Drive was a sexy and fun read with two very likable characters and a great story. I loved this friends-to-lovers romance from Jacob Chance!

'I want to date you,kiss you,make you laugh and occasionally annoy you..' (Nick)

Right from the Prologue,I was hooked! Set at the Engagement Party for Reagan and Noah (from Punched),Carter (Reagan's older sister) who's not long out of an engagement,has insecurities about herself as a result of what happened with her ex,always the 'Good Girl',deciding she wants something more, shares a pretty hot an heavy kiss with a stranger (as the blurb states)...who turns out to be Nick (who featured in both Penalty and Punched)...a football player,who's passion for MMA is becoming more of a focus for his future.
Fast forward and they come into contact again,Nick is some character,he was hilarious in both the previous books,but in this he is so much more,and I think he might just be my favorite!
He knew from the start who Carter was,even though she is four years older than him (she's 26) he is smitten and is on a mission to win her heart.
Along the way, we get not only some laugh out loud moments,there is obvious chemistry between them,and the passion builds slowly, but OMG they are HOT together! There is also some angst thrown in,which almost had me want to throw my kindle ( all I'll say is TABBY-Nick's twin sister!!!)We have cameo's from not only Noah/Reagan but Brady and Harlow(Penalty),and it was great to see where they were at in their relationships,along with other characters previously seen in both books,which in turn,could be potential future story-lines.

I don't want to say too much more as to the whole story,as you should read it for yourselves,it is easily read as a Standalone,but I loved the connections to the other books I've mentioned,and personally,I think that Jacob has created not only a great story,which engages the reader from beginning to end,but the character's are one's that I'd love to read more about.

Get ready to be #Nickstracted !!

I loved Nick and Carter! Nick was such a romantic and a huge surprise! I loved that Nick was able to convince Carter to believe in love again after her ex treated her so badly. My favourite part of a Jacob chance book is that the epilogue never disappoints!
