Book 2 - Samson & Stella's Story

We actually hear a little about Stella and Samson in book 1 (Sweet Little Nothing) you can read this story as a stand alone if you want to, but I think it's better to read book 1 then this one, then Orion's story as they all are interconnected, during this one we hear more from Stella about her thoughts of Emmy and Sterling, then in Orion's story, we get his thoughts about Stella and Samson. We also get more about Gabe and Zach.

Their story and it starts off with a background of Stella and Samson. Samson is Stella's older brother Orion's best friend, basically brothers.

From the moment Stella saw Samson when she fell out of the tree and right at Samson's feet, the crush started, while Orion would be sneaking girls into the house, Samson would be outside with Stella and they bonded together, he was always there for her, made time for her, always included her. From when Stella was 8-14 years old they both knew in their hearts it wasn't just a crush but Samson was older so he bid his time, agreeing with Stella that they would wait until she was 18 before telling her family about their relationship as she was under age, but as per the blurb, Samson gets cold feet and takes off breaking Stella's heart in the process

He is away for 6 months and in that time Stella does tell him a few things and he comes back for her, no matter how much she pushes him away, he doesn't give up on her. She isn't the same innocent girl he left behind.

I believe the age gap between Samson and Stella was 6 years - that doesn't faze me but it might others. I love that Samson wasn't written as a manwh**e either, his heart was always with Stella.

I love how Stella's dad actually knew how Samson and Stella felt for each other and fully supported them.

For those mentioning how sooky Stella would get - please remember she is a teenager, and Samson broke her heart and trust when he took off, it's only natural to get upset when he came back into the picture, especially when Stella's mother never picked up on how Samson and Stella felt for each other and was trying to push other girls onto Samson.

There are some sexy scenes in the book, I found it to be just enough, it wasn't like a hard core smut book and it didn't need to be, what was written was perfect.

Normally I love brother's best friend romances but this one made me nauseous and grossed out. I don't know why other reviewers can't see it too.

I find it funny how a big theme is that Samson doesn't touch Stella until she's 18. Well that's a big fat lie. They continuously kiss and he even gives her a O so I don't know how "I didn't touch her until she was 18" fits into that but it doesn't.

I read Orion book first so I expected a lot more from this book and unfortunately I didn't get it. They were cute but I can't get over how he's 6 years older and kissed her when she was 15. I don't care how you spin that, but kissing someone at that age when you're over 18 is disgusting.

Samson and Stella were destined to be together. Stella was 8 when she took on a dare from her older brother Orion. She climbed to the top of a tree on her parents property and hid from her brother and his new friend. As they searched for her she finally let them know where she was. Her brother freaked and told her to climb back down. But she fell. All she knew was that she hurt. This new boy was holding her as he yelled at Orion to go and get their parents. It was then that Stella fell for this boy named Samson.

Samson has been a part of the foster system for years. The only place he ever felt love was with Orion and his family. But what he feels for Stella is life changing. She asks him to be her first but he tells her that won't happen until she is 18. He is 6 years older than her and tells her that he will wait for her.

Such an incredible love between these two. It is filled with lots of great family moments but also loaded with with heart wrenching moments for Stella and her dorm roommate Emma. Wait until it comes out to Stella's family that they are together!

Loved this story. Ready to read more about these characters. Enjoy!

I love this one. It was a really cute love story. I love how Stella and Samson are together. I was expecting the worst for the thing that Samson did to break her heart and I’m glad I was wrong. He is so in love with her and tried to do everything right but went about it the wrong way.

I was so absolutely happy to have received an ARC to this book and had to just jumó into it. I know I’m going to it get maybe some ugly looks but I have to say it. Ok here it goes don’t hate me but I wasn’t a fan of Stella. There I said it. Ok I know the book is based on the age they were at which is 19 so I get the immaturity. But come on I thought Stella was such a whining character. I mean there was a lot about her I didn’t like but that was the main one. As for Samson I felt for him the way he was raised was so sad. But at the same time I thought he could have done better then Stella. I know I know they were meant to be together and I loved their connection and relationship but it kinda killed the flow of the book how Stella acted out and threw fits when she didn’t have it her way. Don’t get me wrong I loved her other characters like Emmy I really want her story. Oh and let’s not forget Orion and his mysterious Birdie I need to know what happens with them. Above it all o loved the story line it was great. I just unfortunately didn’t connect with Stella.
