Circle of Hurt Kindle Edition
For years, infertility followed me like a cloud.
But finally, the sun has risen.
Finally, I am pregnant.
Except now a new storm rages in the distance—one I have no choice but to pass through.
I have no idea if the child I’m carrying belongs to my husband ... or to the man I’ve betrayed him with—a man I’ve come to love but whose name I don’t know.
What I do know is that I’m a cheat. A liar. Undeserving of this baby inside me.
I don’t know how this will end. But I do know it won’t be without casualties, because this is a story in which a true happy ending cannot exist.
A story of how my love for one grew into three but must end with only two.

I couldn't say that either Morgan or Ryan, the main characters, were terrible people for what they did. I actually felt for them and how their need for each other was a salve for their souls. I came to love these two so much.
Lauren Campbell's writing made the story work so well. She knows how to get to the heart of her characters. Find their strengths and weaknesses. Lauren also knows how to write emotionally impactful books!
Please check Circle of Hurt out, it is beyond good!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I don't want to give anything away but what I can tell you is that both Megan and Ryan are in unhappy marriages and neither one went out looking to cheat, yes as corny as it sounds it did just happen. There is so much heartache on both sides it was sometimes hard to digest. My heart went out to both of them for what they were going through. Remember, glass houses and all of that so no casting stones before you walk a mile in someone else's shoes.
I stayed up well past my bedtime because I couldn't go to bed without knowing how things were going to play out for them. Like I said earlier I was hoping for one while praying for the other, nope I'm not going to tell you which one won out but there is a HEA at the end of it all.
I hope you decide to give this book a try because it was well written and definitely will evoke a lot of emotions from you while reading it, and maybe for a while after.
Happy Reading!!!

Once I started I didn't want to put it down until I knew the ending. Lauren did an amazing job with the plot!
Ryan Houston is a cop who has just lost his best friend, Trevor, in the line of duty while he was protecting Ryan’s daughter Ellie. Now Ryan finds his own marriage to Heather crumbling as Ryan refuses to quit his job or find the mystery driver who was involved in Trevor’s death.
When Morgan and Aaron get into a huge fight one night Morgan ends up meeting Ryan and the two spend a night together but when Morgan ends up pregnant and doesn’t know Ryan’s real name she needs to try and figure everything out.
Will Morgan stay with Aaron or will she try and make a go of it with Ryan?
This was a really interesting book and it really takes a look at how certain events and circumstances can tear a marriage apart.
I really didn’t think that Morgan set out for anything to happen with Ryan but she felt so alone in her marriage to Aaron and she wanted to feel appreciated and taken care of. I felt bad for Morgan as Aaron refused to do certain things and all of the pressure seemed to be on Morgan and the communication between the two certainly hit rock bottom.
Ryan was going through his own struggles with Heather due to Trevor’s death and it didn’t help that Heather’s family hated him and had no problem showing it. Ryan felt very alone in his marriage and Heather couldn’t support him and wanted him to quit the job that he loved.
There was so much chemistry between Ryan and Morgan but their relationship was also based upon false identities. I liked that they were there for each other but there was also so much more at stake and I wasn’t sure where things were going. It’s so hard with cheating as sometimes circumstances lead one down a path that they never thought they would take but they are so alone and distraught that they almost just give up.
I did like that Morgan recognized that Ryan was dealing with a lot and had turned to alcohol and asked him to get sober.
I must say I was completely shocked at the end of the book as it wasn’t what I was expecting! I don’t know if I was happy or sad with the way everything turned out. By Rebecca
Morgan (also called Vivi) is a teacher who is great with kids but struggling with infertility. She and her husband are drifting apart after years of attempts for a baby, and their heartbreak is palpable. I could feel their pain, frustration, and anger, especially with everyone around them getting pregnant.
Ryan (also called Harrison) is a cop who recently lost his best friend in the line of duty. He blames himself, his best friend’s wife blames him, his own wife appears to blame him... He is downright miserable and has become an alcoholic. He seems to me like he could be a decent guy if he pulled himself together, but he’s a mess.
While there were some steamy intimate scenes, much of the book was day to day events and heartbreaks of the characters’ lives. To be honest I found it depressing and I just couldn’t feel the chemistry. I had a difficult time getting past the cheating and the dysfunction. I finished the book but felt it was too heavy and serious to be a true romance.
