Everly’s life has not been easy as her mother is addicted to drugs and her stepfather started locking her in her room when she was 13. The only place she can find solace is with one of her father’s employees, Tage, and a fierce bond is established between the two until her entire life implodes when she is 16 and instead of being there for her he breaks her heart.

In the last eight years Everly has tried to create a new life for herself and is now working as a secretary at a law firm. Although her boss’s arrogant attitude drives her crazy there is no denying the chemistry between them and although she knows that she shouldn’t get involved with her boss she is unable to deny her feelings.

The last thing she expected was her past to come crashing back and turn her life upside down once again. She finds herself with the impossible choice of the man she loved as a teenager and the man who finally allowed her to leave her past behind her. This story is full of emotion, twists chemistry and an ending you don’t see coming.

I was really excited for this book to come out and I was not disappointed. Tage and Everly meet when she is a teenager and is being kept captive in her room by her stepfather who is involved in drugs and weapons and a mother who is a drug addict. Tage is working for an agency undercover and is trying to take down Everly’s stepfather. He sneaks into her room at night and they fall in love. He promises her that he will rescue her and take care of her, but when all hell breaks loose and her stepfather is arrested that does not happen. Even though Tage loves her, he believes she is better off without him.

For the next eight years, Tage keeps an eye on Everly mostly from afar. When Everly finds love with Alec, Tage decides that he cannot lose her to someone else and comes back into her life. Everly loves both men but has been deeply hurt by Tage for breaking his promise and leaving her and with Alec she feels safe and trusts him. When Tage suggests to Alec that they share Everly, Alec doesn’t know if he can share her but they end up making it work and some very hot scenes ensue.

When Everly’s mother appears and wants Everly delivered to her, Alec and Tage do everything to protect her. I thought the storyline of what her mother wants her for was really good and it explains why Everly was locked up for years with no explanation as to why she could never leave her room.

The book is fast paced, suspenseful and has some hot sex scenes. I would say my only wish was that Alec and Tage who were these strong alpha males would have not agreed so easily to sharing Everly. I’m not sure if this is the last we will hear from these characters or not. After reading some of the reviews, I know others have a strong opinion about the ending but it worked for me. I will say this book has one of the best epilogues I have ever read. For some reason, it really tied their relationship up for me.

What an emotional rollercoaster?! And I mean that in a good way. I absolutely enjoyed this read. So many ups and downs, twists and turns, and loss of love. Tragically beautiful!

Everly is amazing. Such a strong heroine who is forced to move on and forget her first love, Tage. Tage, in my opinion is a coward. I get the first go around on not contacting Everly but when a second time comes around you take what I call "the easy way out." Now, throw in Alec who wears his heart on his sleeve. He has no problem showing emotions and is a perfect fit for Everly. Hopefully his love will be enough for everyone. The three certainly have a unique relationship but it works.

That ending! It definitely ends with a somewhat happily ever after but suggests that there could be more to this story. I hope so because my mind is going in a million directions now. I'm hoping for more so my opinion on Tage changes. I want to really love him and not just put up with him. I want more for Everly and Alec too.

This is a first for me, not the author but buying a book and finishing it In one day. The blurb got me so I one clicked it and it was mine. I had gotten away from reading MFM books, but something about this just pulled me in and once I was in I stayed. This is the tale of young love gone bad. We have Everly the Heroine and then we have not one but two Hero's Tage and Alec. I gotta say even though Tage and Everly have a history I was Team Alec. But wait this a menage so why am I picking sides? BECAUSE I CAN!!!!!! I would love to go on and on but then I don't want to give it away.

This book has everything. – Beautifully flawed characters, action, emotions, angst, twists, love, heart, and did I mention STEAM. My oh my. I totally identified with Everly’s torn heart. In her position, the choice would be virtually impossible. (Team Alec, just saying) The growth of the three characters through the pages was a wonderful testament to M. Never’s skill at crafting spellbinding stories about people who FEEL real.
M. Never = Absolutely Captures the Heart Everytime. I do NOT reread books. But this is one, I not only will recommend, but will reread myself just to sit and visit with these characters who have captured my heart. I don’t generally read threesome books simply because my heart gets so anxious as I worry over the characters when I think they aren’t getting 100% of the love they deserve. M. Never is the only author that I trust to capture my heart in a triangle and take care of it. Her triangles always give me peace at the end when she sets my healed heart free.
I absolutely love M Never’s writing style. She never disappoints, writing character driven tales with interesting plots and twists. I always leave her books feeling as if I could really KNOW her characters. The gift of this author is astounding. I loved this book so hard.

I have mixed emotions about this book! I fell in love with Everly, Alec and Tage. There were several moments in the book my heart broke for her and what her parents had put her through, but also the actions of Tage. The mixed emotions come with the ending of this book, on one hand up until the epilogue I was cursing a little, a little broken up. But my feelings changed, it was like a whole new understanding was developed within that chapter, which made the ending perfect.

I enjoyed this book. The dynamic between Everly, Tage, & Alec was unique and refreshing!
I like strong female characters and she was definitely able to overcome the anguish of her past. She put off truly living until Alec. He was an alpha and domineering but also able to appreciate what he had with Everly. Tage was Everly's past, a first love that she cherished and dreaded at the same time. Once Tage re-enters her life everything changes. I don't want to say anything more without giving a spoiler. There is a HEA and heartache as well.
